Another Christmas Eve.

This is a photograph of Christian when he was 2.

My husband was a photographer on a local paper and this was the photo they used for Christmas Eve.

The photo was done before the days of photoshop. And although we had computers they weren't used for editing photos.

The photo was taken in natural light with a Rolliflex camera using HP5 400 ASA film.

The print was made with an oval masked out and the negative of the presents, taken in the studio, printed inside it.

So there you go.

I just remember us creeping into Christian's room to take the photo trying not to wake him. He didn't wake up, but it was trickier later going in with his Christmas stocking.
