Frozen River Again
I've blipped the frozen River Dee last year (actually maybe early this year) from another location and it never fails to amaze me.
We were housebound yesterday so today I took the kids down to the park by the river to play for a while and get in a few shots. I've got ones of further upstream where it's more frozen, and further downstream where there is massive thick icebergs. But I liked this wee bit in the middle that still has a puddle of river to see. Not sure why, physics not my thing, but I suspect it's because of the heat from the road bridge (I was stood on) that forms one of the main roads through Aberdeen. About 5m either side and underneath is water then it's frozen solid.
I'll pop back tonight and put in links to the other shots, but for now, the soup is on, there's a drink waiting and I have peace and quiet while hubby is playing with the kids in the snow. It must be Christmas Eve :)
