no more rain

Today was a good day. A very good day. The precipitation is much much muuuuuch lower. The sun, it came out! And it was cold but not too cold. Topping off the good weather was an eventful afternoon, once I was able to get the daughter and her friend up. They'd had an up-all-night sleepover. Is there any other kind when you are 14, almost 15?

I made progress on determining the best-case in a fairly major acquisition, though the item will not be acquired for a few months yet. It's good to plan. It's good to know what you're getting in to. It's good to ask questions, do the research, find out what feels right, listen to the experts, and then make an informed decision. I'm getting better at that.

All of the shopping is done. I have food for making breakfast and dinner and gifts all ready to go. When I got home, I had a glass of wine and wrapped them up. Now it's just a waiting game.

I wish we were someplace snowy and way more chilly. It's nice that it's a bit brisk - but 45 degrees seems so warm in comparison to the Christmas weather I'd like to be having. Shouldn't complain. Makes people who live in the colder climes grumpy, I bet. :)
