A surprise

This beautiful bouquet arrived unexpectedly for me on Saturday from a friend. A lovely cut orchid at its centre with tight lily buds, red berries, cedar and fir boughs and some other greenery I didn't recognize.

As the week passed, the lilies opened one at a time. I am back blipping this almost a week later. We enjoyed it all week. It now adorns our front patio where we left it yesterday as we loaded up our car and left to catch the ferry for Christmas on the Island. With the high winds and rain it wouldn't have survived the trip.

A lovely surprise of friendship and appreciation. I love the unexpected like this. ;-)
