A welcome!

The sun came out every so briefly on Sunday. The seawall in Ambleside was filled with people taking a break from their Christmas preparations to enjoy the warmth and light. I stole 45 minutes to run along the wall by the ocean, one of my favourite things to do.

This totem, carved with arms outstretched, stands on the North Shore just west of the Lion's Gate Bridge welcoming the ships, freighters, tugs, cruisers all as they enter Burrard Inlet.
