almost missed

What a marvellous start to the day... lovely and crispy and cold and foggy and atmospheric and the beginning of the end before an extra-long weekend.

What a marvellous finish to the day too. I almost missed the snow after a nice relaxing bath/read but luckily had a look outside. Strangely it seems a little heavier on the streets than it did on the hill. Hopefully it'll stick around, net some hopeless gambling optimists a little comeback from the betting shops and give us something to snowboard on this winter after last year's almost total snow-absence.

Although we don't have any official work-enjoyment seasonal downtime on our last full pre-christmas workday it was at least a nice relaxed and pleasantly almost-festive day with no major hassles and a promptish finish.

Five days of free. One day at least of shopping but I know exactly what I'm getting and where so it'll be fairly painless. Hopefully a cinéma visit or two and perhaps even a couple of falafel sandwiches like the one I've just eaten. Possibly lots of coffee too. Definitely some walking, starting with a second visit to the sorting office when it opens tomorrow to see if they have my memory and inks.
