Sprout Joy
Last Christmas we fell victim to the national sprout shortage, despite living in the heart of Scotland's sprout producing region. This year Katherine and I were determined not to be caught out again. So, we bought this spike of sprouts, guaranteed by Mr Sainsbury's to keep until January. I have to say, it has made the fridge smell delightfully of sprouts, though Mr B doesn't seem so entranced by that advantage. Granted, it has made the cheese taste a bit funny.
This morning we headed north from Mam and Dad's through a glorious winter wonderland: clear roads, snowy fields, glistening frosted trees and blue skies. But nowhere safe to stop for photos, so you can have sprouts instead.
After a frenzy of present wrapping, and some stealthy Santa action, Christmas is waiting for us.
EDIT: in case I forget, in years to come, yesterday we made a bold and slightly cheeky move in relation to where we might be living soon.... and today had some rather exciting news. More on this to come, no doubt.
