Copper Pile

Not the best of photographic images, but this is one of the coolest things I've seen in some time. It was taken in The Railway Inn - where I was intrigued to see this pile of pennies (outer) and tuppences (inner) on the bar where my buddy Ben was working.

This pile has been growing for over ten years, and is preceded by a dozen or so more - all of which have been donated to charity when the pile reaches the top of the bar. Around £500 per pile, according to the certificates on the wall.
