Waybuloo

It's been a really lovely few days, we've had some fantastic time with very dear people. But Katie is ready for her own bed. We didn't have a great night last night!

We pottered round sorting our things this morning, before heading out to my aunty's. We had a bit of breakfast, Katie chased the cat, and she looked in total disgust at us when me and my cousins informed her it was time to go to town! We had a great time though, and Aunties Kay and Jozza both treated Katie to a couple of little things (and Mummy too!) I found a couple of bargains for katie's 'to grow into' clothes bag, and an adorable 'for now' fleece.

We stopped for a thorntons hot chocolate and saw our little friend Nathaniel, so that was a nice bonus. As was the caramel shortbread. Although that enjoying didn't last long for Mummy - katie pinched it.

She got very tired and fell asleep in the sling, so I headed home. Uncle Simon cooked Christmas pasta (actual Christmas shapes, so fab!). I began the long task of attempting to make all the stuff fit back in the car, plus the new stuff/presents to be distributed to the Cousins/the kitchen sink (yet I forgot to pack my Christmas broom). Uncle Simon left as well just before us, so Granny and Grandad went from a bursting at the seams house to an empty one in fifteen minutes.

Katie and I stopped at Morrisons on the way home. I had decided I would need more storage for all the new Happy Land figures/jigsaws/toys etc and came across one in Morrisons. I didn't think about the fitting it in issue. Oops. I did manage though.

We arrived home to a less than pleasant surprise. In our time away the pipes have frozen again. Whilst they are now defrosted, the boiler and therefore heating and hot water have died. My landlord's been round and can't fix it, so here's hoping someone can tomorrow. So Katie and I spent the evening chasing, running, rehoming and rearranging toys. And playing with her new Waybuloo mat from Granny and Grandad. She doesnt know Waybuloo but is rather delighted with it, so I think we may have to look for a dvd!

At teatime tonight, Katie ate a big tub of turkey, mash and veg followed by her first mince pie with custard!
