Cast Iron Belief

This is a cast iron headstone from a Victorian cemetary in Hull. It was probably the last word height of fashion at the time, it stands about 6m tall! Sadly the grave itself has been destroyed by tree roots and there is no information about who resides beneath.

It puts me in mind of the Scott Monument on Princes St in Edinburgh.
