Houses and Homes

Evie loves her Dolls house - and the girls spent some time today putting furniture in it.

It was a mammoth task to put together - supported by my pals on Twitter who urged me on with the building...my finger was bleeding at one point. But I DID it and was really proud of myself as a few months ago I would have handed the flat pack and screws to my ex and he would do it.

It was so worth the pain - its lovely and will last for years I hope.

In other news, I had to talk about plans for selling the family house - paying off the mortgage and debts. Oddly, conversation then went on to what I wanted from the house. Nothing was the answer - this is our home now and I've bought all the stuff myself..it is second hand shabby chic but it suits me and the girls just fine.

Don't feel sentimental about the things we bought together as a couple...as I think that it was based on lies and deception.

But it was another door closed today for me - talked about it, no tears - just one moan from me and some anger from him.

...and back here with my girls, playing with their toys made me ponder on the huge difference between a House and a Home.

We're Home now. :)
