Fraction

The disadvantage of my local swimming baths being shut between Christmas and New Year is that I have to go a bit further to a non-favourite pool for some exercise and moments of clarity. The advantage is that it puts me around The Meadows where there's usually plenty of activity and a real variety of subject matter to photograph. Had all sorts of ideas, and even had the 35mm SLR with me too for some real creativity, even had the wild notion that I'd take a whole roll of film and develop it tonight (rock and roll I know, my days of going into town and drinking heavily on Hogmanay are so far behind me now it feels untrue!), but alas the inspiration just wasn't there and even a wander around the whole modern Quartermile development didn't really fill me with any degree of excitement either. Some days, some days...

Inspired musically, however, today with a couple of favourite jazz albums. Just have them on the ipod these days, the CDs got sold on ebay a long time ago, but tempted to take some of my Christmas money and reinvest in a good (*measures width on shelf of required number of discs*) 4" worth. There surely can't be much better purchases than the like of this or this surely.

Finally, a quick but big thank you to fellow blipper just sitting for getting me into this whole blipping malarkey in the first place. I admit it, I'm hooked, long may it continue...
