Last day of the year

Today I officially retire after 36 years in teaching, mainly in the same school! I had a dread of being the oldest and the last of the pre Academy staff there and it felt like the right time, although I am not yet officially at retirement age.

These are some of the flowers still looking gorgeous after more than a week since I was presented with them.

The end of 2010 - the end of an era.

I will happily still get to see those I care about and whose friendship I value above all else from those 36 years. See here and here.
