Tonight there was a 'party' planned but fate just laughs in the face of plans when there are small children involved. After this photo was taken during a walk this afternoon, Sienna became suddenly and unexpectedly ill.

So she is upstairs in bed finally resting - while Steve and the children have gone to show face at the party. Maybe it is a sign to tell me not to forget that that life is full of twists and turns and you gotta go with the flow...maybe it is just to remind me that at the end of the day (or year!), family always comes first.

They will thankfully be home before midnight and we will celebrate together, the year past the year ahead.

In the meantime as I await their return, to the blip community - "A Happy New Year to you all"!
