New Year's Dook!

Here are Ruby, on the left and Gail on the right, doing the equivalent of the Loony Dook.....the main difference was they were the only 2 crazy enough to do this strange ritual!!!!

The image isn't the best, i was struggling with my still new camera, couldn't get it to take a photo - even on auto, or any other setting, other than the night time portrait.....but it was still difficult to actually get the shutter to release! it was extremely frustrating...so now i'm heading off to read my manual more closely, there must be some explanations somewhere !!!

hope everyone enjoyed the first day of 2011 - we had a great time. This crazy situation took place at a party we were at this afternoon....i still don't know why they decided to wait till it was almost dark before venturing into the water....however, the party itself was wonderful...good food, more new folks for me to meet!
