Cloud Formations on New year's Day

So much of the time, New Mexico skies are an unbroken and infinate blue. The light is gorgeous, but most of the time completely clear. Other times, there are very interesting cloud formations like these. I love New Mexico skies.

A beautiful evening with beloved friends old and new yesterday. Lots of laughs and music. More food than I could even taste. On the TV Dick Clark looks like a zombie.

I missed sunset because I cooked all afternoon for our mothers. Butternut squash cider soup, leg of lamb stuffed with parsley and roasted garlic, crisp roasted red potatoes with garlic and rosemary. Excellent cabernet. Life is good so far this year....
