Crisp Morning Light

A gorgeous day here on the West Coast. Caught this early morning image of our dock. The frost never did melt today. The sun is up for such a short time and never does get very warm. That and the fact that our dock faces East and barely gets the sun at all in the winter. That is what makes this capture today's choice. I love the cold blue shadows cast on the snow. I can feel the freshness. Great start to the New Year.

That and I am finally feeling human again after 10 days fighting a cold that sapped my energy. New energy and a New Year.
