Lake District Our Last Day
We had to be out of the Youth Hostel by 10 so it was up, breakfast, pack and out!
One of the things that I have always wanted to see was Hill Top Farm at Sawrey, the former home of Beatrix Potter. We made our way there to find that it was closed for the winter, so backtracked to look at Wray Castle.
We then headed across to Kendal for a walk around the town and meet a friend of mine J for lunch. That was lovely and her partner G joined us a little later.
It was then time for us to head across to my mums via the scenic route that is the Yorkshire Dales... we managed to see the best bits before the light dimmed which was great. We didn't get chance to stop in Hawes but have penned it for a future visit after R stated he hadn't been there for a while.
Mum had shepherds pie ready which was lovely!
Tomorrow we're visiting the newly weds before heading home and back to that old thing... WORK!
