Fountain

One of the things I've found slightly odd with the winter this year is how quiet and still everything becomes under the snow and ice.

As I walked through York today I caught sight of this and really enjoyed the colour and movement in the water.

And then I started to think - alright, brood, about fountains like this. They look like everything is troubled and changing, the light changes every instant and the colours shift with alterations in the skies. But it's all the same water and in largely the same place.

Kind of reassuring.
