The Sitting Tree

It has been some time since we visited the Sitting Tree in St Ives Estate because we haven't had any small children to introduce to its magic. When our two were little we had to stop off there on family walks so that they could climb in his branches. Sadly one of those branches has succumbed to weather/disease but, happily, I could use it to fasten on gorillapod for this blip.

Rob called in today to collect Becks' birthday present before he heads out to see her in the States in a couple of days' time, so Pete and Jen joined us too and we went for lunch at the cafe in the park. On the way home we took a diversion to the tree.

If you enlarge the blip and look closely you can see the wonderful face of the Sitting Tree. It's mouth is between Rob's foot and my knee. I think it is an Ent really...
