Sunset over Windamere

A wonderful day spent walking in the Lake District. The sun only appeared as it was setting and lit the cracking ice on the lake. This was my first visit ot Lake district although I have often done the motorway run straight past. It was just what I needed.

I like traveling in the winter when there are no crowds and those that brave it are top to toe in waterproofs and a smile. Those that venture out in the wind and rain have a lovely acceptance of that which we can't change and make the most of it.

I'll be back to this part of the world.
