winter buds

It was a travel day, starting early on a gray and chilly morning. We first meet friends for lunch 'on our way' back home, and then continued on our way. It was really good to meet up with old friends not seen in a long time, and also good to be home. It is time to reacquaint ourselves with the reality of our usual routines, and although both kids claim to not be ready, I suspect we all our, after a fashion.

I stole a quick moment with my camera on our way from the house to the car, just in case the camera didn't make it to lunch. Which of course, it didn't.... a shame too but to be expected. Sometimes I am just too busy talking to fuss with my camera.
