'Shadow'

This is the new addition to the family. Shadow is an 18 month old border collie from the local Scottish SPCA centre. He arrived at the centre in December with a labrador and we believe they used to live in a flat.

But how did this all come around?
As a family we have always had two dogs, sadly 18 months ago we lost Beatrix. She was a lab collie cross who was 14 when she died, we resuced her from a local rescue centre when she was 6 months old. Age got the better of her, she had a stroke and was slowly going a bit dotty and unable to go for walks. To our relief she passed away in her sleep, once all the family had been reunited for the summer and the day after we had had Roast Beef for dinner. It was as if she was waiting for us to be together.

We all wanted to get a second dog to Scruff, who was featured in my first blip, but we waited until now as mum is reaching retiring age. Over christmas we started looking at the SSPCA website and came across a dog called 'Tipsy' and a dog called 'Sheba' but by the time we rang they had been rehomed, however 'Shadow' was mentioned to us. So we went along to visit him and as soon as we saw him we knew he was the dog for us. And this is him.

Am sure he along with Scruff will feature heavily on Blip.
