On the Deck . . .

. . . vacation starts now!

We arrived about 3:00 p.m. and hauled our stuff from the car to the house. We got our things inside and settled-in just in time to pause and ponder the setting of the sun.

I picked-up Chloe-dog (who was shivering inside her jacket) and wrapped all 8 pounds of her inside my big coat and the two of us watched the ocean as the sun slipped away. Mr.Fun took the role of camera man. He captured some stunning shots, but this one seemed more personal.

My sister arrived a little after 5:00. We're all getting settled and looking forward to a week at the beach in Ventura. Oh boy! Tomorrow morning our daughter and her hubby will join us for the day.

P.S. This nice vacation home is right on the sand; we found it on the Internet. It's "pet friendly" and Chloe likes that!

P.P.S. Chloe thinks the photo contains a large glowing "dog paw" in the sky. She say, "Look at it in large (tap the magnifying glass). We're continuing our series of "watching the sky."

P.P.P.S. I'll give the name of the island in the photo later in the week (because right now, I can't remember).
