The chickadee and the titmouse...

... caught by the camera in an angry confrontation over which one should get first chance at the peanuts and other treats I placed on the tree stump. Look at it in large and you can see their expressions. The chickadee was the winner of the confrontation. As my grandchildren would say, he got "first dibs."

Several new birds came looking for treats today. One of them, the red-bellied woodpecker, is especially striking. You can see their pictures in my photoblog, and the link to it is in my profile.
