Church, Great Wymondley

We saw sky today, together with a bit of wintery sunshine so whilst going out shopping I took a little detour.

There are the remains of a Motte and Bailey castle in Great Wymondley, Hertfordshire. However all that remained were the earthworks which I couldn't make much of.

There was a pretty Church which looked nice as the sun was setting. It is part 12th century, constructed partly with Roman building materials.

There is quite a lot of Roman history around here which I will have to investigate.

It was really nice to get outside in the sunshine.
