Watch the Birdy!

Lily's birthday today - met her on the train home. She was rough, lots of shots in Manchester! She's heading back to uni tomorrow, I'm gutted but know what a fab time she's having.

Money is tight after Xmas - especially as we are getting no child support ( something I hope will change soon)

So we have become regulars at our local art gallery who run a craft session (for £1 per child)

It's really nice - the staff are lovely and it's nice for me to see other adults, even if I don't always chat too much because I'm helping the girls.

There is no rush - and the projects they get to do are really good. The girls love it and it's a sweet routine to do..sausage roll for lunch, half an hour in the library then we do the craft at the gallery.

One bad point - the girl who ran the session was saying how they will be getting their letting inviting them to take voluntary redundancy.

It's such a sad situation - sessions like this, getting children to feel that the art gallery is their community space as well as somewhere that parents can take their kids...an uncommercial environment where you can spend quality time with them.....

....making fantastic birds

Peace, love and serenity
