Today's the day ...................... to go across the water

Lovely day here today, so Will and I decided to take the little ferry at Bowness across to the other side of Windermere.

It's a roll on - roll off car ferry ....... but on a very small scale. It probably holds a maximum of say fifteen cars and the crossing takes 10 minutes at the most - but it doesn't matter. By the time you reach the other side, you really feel as if you are in a different country. It has to be one of the best ways of spending £4 that I can think of ...........!
