Worth it's weight in gold

Does anyone have a list of the ingredients for printer ink. I believe that it comes in at more than 2k per gallon.....what's that about? Can it really be that expensive to manufacture? If someone has the recipe please let me know. Maybe Icould set up an illicit still.
