Gnarled Tree
... in the Blenheim Estate.
What a glorious day: sunshine, and not a cloud to be seen.
We had friends visiting, and decided that it was an ideal day for a walk in the Blenheim Woods. How different they look from the way they were on our last visit (see my BlipFoto for 3 November)!
This old gnarled tree caught my eye. This is a wider angle view, but of course it doesn't give such an impression of twisting and turning.
Here's another contorted tree on the estate.
I've mounted a set of 'photos from the walk here.
We ended the walk just in time to go for a pub lunch of excellent roast beef, and then for a short stroll in the village of Woodstock, which is very close by, and where, to my surprise, we found a shop window devoted to beezles (which some people know as sheep).
