What a day.

Dad woke me at 6.00 a.m.!!!!!

We got to hospital on time and ready to go....and his operation was cancelled. He takes warfarin to thin his blood after a bypass years ago and his blood test showed too much in his blood so the surgeon decided it wasn't safe to operate...so we try again in about 6 weeks time.

Phil texted me that the quiz team lost by a point last night, so from being undefeated and leading the league by 5 points we've lost two in a row and now our lead is only 1 point.

But all that pales into insignificance compared to the news about my work colleague, which is just about as bad as it could be.

A long, lonely drive back here gave me far too much time to think and ponder the meaning of life and mortality, so tonight me and Uncle Jack are trying to numb the pain.

I really didn't want to blip but I felt I had to, so this blue vase seemed appropriate.
