Magnificent Frigate Bird

We're back from the Yucatan! I have had some trouble getting onto Blipfoto... but, here I am!

This is a magnificent frigate bird, a tropical member of the pelican family. The males are very photogenic... they have a bright red throat that they expand during mating season. We saw these in several places; this one is near the estuary at Rio Lagartos.
