Back to School
I've been reading a lot of articles lately about the importance of keeping your brain active as you get get older, so I think I'll take a class at the Technical College.
It's probably not a good idea to start with something too technical -- Continuing Eduation sounds promising. Let's see what they've got.
Flogging and Traffic Control ?!! Wait a minute, that's Flagging. Never mind.
Bartending for the Professional. I think I'd rather be an amateur -- in Washington state it's illegal for a bartender to drink while working.
This one looks just right.
Craft Beers...An Introduction to Styles and Flavors!
Today there are many choices of craft beer on the market offering an array of styles and flavors! You have the opportunity to find out which one could be your new favorite. This class, taught by Anthony Stone*, introduces you to the basic ingredients which make each beer different. You will taste eight local ales and lagers while enjoying food pairings prepared by BTC Chef Marc Eilberg. Tasting different beers, side-by-side, will help you learn which ones you prefer and increase your knowledge about beer in general.
2 hours, 0.2 credits, and only $35. As long as there isn't a test involved, I'll take it. Might be good for a blip.
*Anthony is one of the brewers at Boundary Bay Brewery.
