After the snow

This is the rose I photographed back in November when the first snow came.

It still has beauty and it is interesting even at this lifeless low point in the year where there is little new growth anywhere.

From the depths of winter, it is hard to contemplate the vibrancy of the colours this plant had on show a few months back and will again in some months time and which we will take for granted.
