A gift

A quick snap of the Edwardian clock tower in Borough Gardens, given, as the inscription acclaims, by Charles Hansford in 1905. Here is another picture.

A few years years ago I happened to be walking through the gardens on the 100th anniversary of the gardens opening. There was a picnic and someone made them all sing 'Happy Birthday Borough Gardens'. Embarrassing, but nice that people care about these things.
