Bristol n...
I'm not paranoid, but I do feel as though I get tapped on the shoulder by figures of authority rather more than most.
I won't bore you with links back to blips where leisure centre management and police have questioned my desire to take photos.
Today it was the turn of a yellow-jacketed guy supervising the demolition of part of our offices.
He said: "If you don't mind me asking, sir, but what are you taking those photographs for?"
I wearily told him I worked inside said building and was keeping a photo record. Oh, and while I was at it, working inside a building that seemed to be constantly shaking was pretty terrifying, thanks very much.
After that, we had a pleasant chat in which he explained that the reason why an entire roof had collapsed during their operation was because it had never been fixed properly in the first place.
Fills me with confidence about the part of the building still standing, which we have to work in every day.
Anyway, until this morning the sign on the building read 'Bristol News and Media'.
By Sunday it will say... nothing. It will all be gone.
