keys

Sometimes keys are the answer. I don't really like Amelie having keys. I hate the sound of the metal on her teeth and I know that they can't be particularly clean (but that doesn't say much for the girl who likes to hoover up tasty treats from the carpet) but sometimes I just need to amuse her for 5 minutes.

We went car seat hunting today. This has been the longest search ever. Ok, slight exaggeration but we are really struggling to decide on the next seat. After deliberating and deciding against rear facing there was a couple we liked. I liked a britax one and Chris liked a Recaro one. Yesterday we went into halfords to have a look and talk to someone about them. They put us off the ones we had originally liked and then we decided on a Maxi Cosi Tobi. It looks comfy, seems safe and secure without an isofix base. I came home and looked at reviews and then realised that a lot of people seem to be having problems with the straps? Although it seems to be on the older models (which halfords are still selling). So its still up in the air. We do so much travelling I really want her to be comfy, to see out the window, to be able to sleep....without compromising on safety. My head is about to explode with reviews and seats and safety ratings...

Other than that we had a nice day together and Amelie slept better than normal but not as good as last night.
