You're Leaving Us...

to have a baby.

Emma finished work yesterday before going on maternity leave. Work was starting to become difficult for Emma as she is in the latter stages of pregnancy, but I am immensly proud of how she has stuck at it right to the bitter end. Her work colleagues think the same, and clearly think highly of Emma due to the amount of presents she has received - and for our forthcoming baby. We now have a fine collection of baby trinkets, dresses and the most gorgeous flowers ever. I said to Emma when I saw them, that they just had to be blipped. I would have done it yesterday but the moon came out to play. Clear skies for the first time since Tuesday.

Last night was a good one. We celebrated a work colleague's retirement for a posh meal - all courtesy of the boss. Well, Tim had known our boss for over 30 years and had worked together for most of that time. So it was only right that we all got together and shared dinner (and a few glasses of wine) with him. Here's to many happy years of retirement Tim - and here's to my lovely wife Emma. Those flowers are well deserved. I cant wait till our new addition to the family arrives soon.
