Mud, mud, glorious mud...

We went for a long walk.

It was dark and bleak and seriously and deeply muddy.

Himself (a Scientist by profession) was enjoying the moment of the suction of his wellies in said mud...
...He hadn't, initially, planned to rest his bottom in it too, but as he said,
'When I knew I was stuck I decided to fall backwards to keep the camera safe'! (Bless!)

So, it was a quick blip. Wet clothes do so cling!!!

On the way back we were buzzed by a bat; a new experience.

And the above image does have a few ladybirds in the top cluster...
I seem to have an affinity with them at present.
