AND NOW....

for something completely different!!!

I thought i'd take a few days off from the amaryllis investigation.....so i headed out around 5pm, there was still some light in the sky....yeah....again, just noticing the subtle difference from a months ago lightens my heart....anyway, it has snowed pretty well all day here, and after we prepared the Spruce cabin for some guests, i basically settled in on the sofa, in front of the wood stove, with my book!* It's been a very laid back day!

The folks that were booked into the cabin, called us around 3pm to say they were stuck on Big Hill.....not surprising....so off terry went to pick them up - I made a call into the roads department...and i just saw the snow plow finish up at the top of our driveway about 1/2 hour ago!

*The Birth House, by Ami McKay. set in rural Nova Scotia, around 1916....and follows the life of a young woman as she inherits the wisdom and knowledge of the local midwife!!! compelling read.....jezzz, women had it so bad then.....thank god for the suffrage movement eh!! I highly recommend it.
