Starting Anew

While on the surface of it, it looks as though nothing much has happened in Haiti since the earthquake, rebuilding is taking place.

This photo was taken at the site of a hotel which is being built up and is due to open on 11/11/11. The hotel, one of just a handfull in Port Au Prince, will house (sadly) mostly aid workers and families coming back to visit relatives.

Haitians, who have got to be among the most resilient people I know, have a saying in the face of adversity: "On se sert les coudes" (together, we can do it).
