Gorgeous days, one of the very best in a long time, even after my 3am hometime from a night out with Anne, my university friend of 22 years who now lives in Sydney. With ideas to move beyond her hotel, Ramsay's London in Hollywood, we spent an intimate evening instead drinking their signature champagne cocktail with just a final nightcap at the Skybar.
Today at the Getty Center with a tremendous hangover and with family friend Fred over from Florida. He's just bought his first SLR camera for his wife and was a clean slate in terms of knowledge. I wanted to show him that with a few skillful techniques, gorgeous light and Catherine's magic buttons, he could create a beautiful portrait.
I captured a bevy of beauties on a college reunion who were playing sweetly with Callum, previously at LA universities then Oxford UK. I've a tonne of processing to do from that and the last few days, and I of course got them to capture Callum and I too in the process and before long, found that everyone sitting on the grassy bank around us was coming to me for portraits with their cameras. Amusing. "Anyone else?" I called.
Took a few headshots whilst we were there too.
