On the pier

A gorgeous afternoon on Santa Monica Pier, but by tonight, two firetrucks and one ambulance had arrived to take Reu to ER where he's been ever since. He has spasmodic croup and the coughing is heartbreaking to witness on my boy. T&P please. As of Tuesday night, he's due in for another night in intensive care and I'm heading there to take over from Jason who joined Reu in the ambulance.

This taken only hours earlier with one of my best friends from London University where we studied in the 80s, and who now lives in Sydney, her daughter Isobel now all grown up and her Daddy Reu's Iain godfather who lives in London.

The lovely hot afternoon on the pier which I'm cherishing at this moment.
