Today I was with the First Minster as he performed the official opening of the Hydrogen Office, a demonstration & research hub for hydrogen and fuel cell development in Fife. Scotland has huge natural resources for renewable energy production, particularly offshore, and the industry continues to grow year on year. The technology involved in the Hydrogen Office means that energy from renewable sources, such as wind power generated by the turbine in this picture, can be stored and made available for use as and when needed.
