Ironmongers no more

Needing some ceramic hob cleaner and a new potato masher (as you do), I headed by instinct along George Street. Of course, Grays has now closed - the name is still there at the top of the building, but the ground floor has been taken over by a purveyor of some sort of clothing. Called White Stuff - oh, haud me back. Grays had kitchen stuff on the ground floor and a gardening department downstairs where you could get your shears sent off for professional sharpening, amongst many other delights. I never even ventured up on to the first floor.

So I had to continue on to The Other Place, or Landfill as JW calls it. I found the required items, but it's not the same.
