My Aim is True

Princess-ification

There are some aspects of other folk's lives that one can never quite understand.

For one; how they spend their money. I look at other folk and think, "jeez, I'd never have spent that amount on that pile of tat that they've bought", or " jeez, why won't they go and buy something decent rather than cutting corners on that pile of tat that they've bought".

And then there's cleaning "jeez, how can they live in this mess" or "jeez, what a waste of a life doing all the cleaning and tidying"

And then there's the way people bring up their we'ans. Today I realised that if you keep telling wee girls that they are princesses, and treating them like princesses and dressing them like princesses. Then lo and behold they'll believe that they are princesses and their parents will only ever be their lowly subjects, waiting on them hand and foot.

(I should add here that the sparse knowledge I have of financial management, housework and child rearing I have gleaned from The Guardian and Coronation Street)

So anyway. Here is a picture of an Arctic Plover. It's actually a misnomer. It actually originates in the highlands of Norway, feeding on fish in the mountain streams. In winter these birds would migrate to the fjord areas, where food was more plentiful, staying on until after the breeding season in early spring before returning to the highland areas. However in recent years many seem to have y have migrated away from Norway and are a frequent sight in winter time around Scottish Lochs. Some have even been spotted in Northern France.
