Bee in a pumpkin flower!

Busy little bee, covered in pollen and hopefully fertilizing my pumpkin flower! I'll be thanking this little bee in winter when I'm tucking into a big bowl of pumpkin soup, or a lovely piece of roast pumpkin.

What would we do without bees?

It's really noticeable since NZ got the viroa mite that there are not as many bees around, so the ones left are busier than ever. Luckily bumble bees don't seem to be affected by the mite so we are relying on them even more.
