Boating Lake
Today was spent going mostly down to the local dump - and taking down Christmas decorations and putting them in the loft. And buying a printer and printing out pictures and eating a huge portion of sticky toffee pudding.
There was not a child in sight for the whole day. Sometimes you need a day like that.
This is a picture of the local boating lake that is starting to cover over with ice taken on the way back from the supermarket this evening. If you look closely, you may see that one of the sticks is slightly blurry. Flick thought it might be a good idea if I focussed on a spot a few yards in front of me whilst she threw a stick in the air to land in the water exactly on that spot. So she threw it up in the air, and it landed a full 30 feet further on... what a girly!
After a few attempts, she sort of got he right idea and then ran out of sticks. Having found one last one, she got it to land in the correct place. I was trying to compensate for the shutter lag on the P&S and got the shot just before it hit the water.
Never mind. It was fun.
