Running on Empty

I've blipped with this fountain before so apologies for returning to it. The contrast was stark this morning. The dark outline of the fountain against white frost covered trees and misty conditions.

The fountain doesn't work which is a pity as I'd love to have seen the effect of iced water on the structure. On the few occasions throughout the year when water flows it seems to be a mere trickle rather than flowing with abundance. Its almost as if it belongs to a forgotten age and now dwells in an era where its working greatness has given way to being a largely passive statue. I like it nonetheless and always admire the structure when I pass by, and it often provides nice photo opportunities.
