He's Surrounded!

Today we woke up at the break of dawn to head to Atwater for 2 soccer games for Loren's All Stars team. We left around 6:30 am to drop Scout off for puppysitting at Nana and Papa's house and then headed out of town. We got there around 8 am and were wondering if we would even be able to see the game --- the fog was heavy! The fog made it difficult, the field wasn't mowed, the lines were painted like zig-zags, and the field was covered gopher mounds. Those factors made for an interesting game. They held their own, though, and ended up tying 0-0.

In between games we drove around Merced trying to kill some time. We ended up killing time at IHOP - All You Can Eat Pancakes time. :) I still wasn't feeling well yet, but the kids went crazy over their favorite breakfast restaurant and scarfed down their meals. Loren showed excellent will power in not stuffing himself, knowing he had to be in another soccer game shortly.

The second game had MUCH better visibility as the fog lifted and the sun came out. We ended up playing a Modesto team (the morning team was an Atwater team). We won that game 3-0! Yay Storm!

I LET LOREN PICK WHICH BLIP PHOTO HE WANTED TO USE. I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN ANOTHER ONE SHOWING HIS FACE BETTER --- BUT HE CHOSE THIS ONE BECAUSE HE THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY THAT HE WAS SURROUNDED BY THE OTHER TEAMS PLAYERS.
